From the Mountains to the Sea
Hidden in plain sight, the Santa Monica Mountains offer easy access to surprisingly wild places.

The park, which opened in 2007, abounds with historical and cultural sites, from old movie ranches to Native American centers. Once owned by Bob Hope, it is a popular location set for filming; most recently it has served as the contestants’ home and filming location for the popular NBC show “The Biggest Loser.”
The Anza Hotel is a scenic seven-mile drive from the Anthony C. Beilenson Interagency Visitor Center at King Gillette Ranch, located at 26800 West Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, CA. Beilenson Interagency Visitor Center is also the first “net zero” visitor center in the National Park Service.
